MY ROLE AS A CITIZEN OF INDIA

“Youth Itself is a Talent — The Perishable Talent”

Together we can do more.

With the power of technology in my hand and the innovative ideas , I have a very clear and bright vision for the future India. With the manpower of 65% youth in the country, if utilised with systematic planning, India can soon be a superpower and lead the Globe. As said, the talent is immense, all we need to do is to channelise this energy into something that is really very productive. This year, India celebrates its 74th Independence Day. But there is still a question if every citizen truly enjoys that freedom.

As a knowledgeable and awakened youth, I clearly know my duties and responsibilities for my country. To follow the rules and regulations and strongly abide The Great Indian Constitution is the first duty of every citizen. We need to ensure that we don’t misuse The Rights that we have privileged to enjoy. Along with this, it is also important to ensure that the same is followed by every person that surrounds us. As said,

“With Duties, Comes the responsibilities. ”

It’s a pride to say that we are the citizens of The Biggest Democracy in The World. I choose my leaders. So, casting My Vote in every election is one of the most important duties I consider. As we know that every vote counts , we should arrange camps and seminars to spread the awareness among other citizens and especially among the illiterate and backward classes. But we do not need to stop here. It’s equally necessary to constantly evaluate and introspect the functioning of the constituency. We should ensure that the elected leaders work properly and efficiently as well. Even we need to keep ourselves updated about the policies and bills that our elected government passes. We should never step back in taking the benefits of numerous Prime Minister Yojanas. Again, if those programs do not apply for us, even then we should keep spreading and sharing to those who really need them.

Unemployment is one of the biggest causes that’s misleading the youth and making them walk on the wrong track. It’s important for us to understand that as a youth, we need to keep in mind that perseverance is the key to success. We need to create self employment. We can also give a fair share in growth of the nation by creating employment for others. The dream of Make In India will become a reality if we start producing in India. Start-ups should be encouraged. The Government of India is also funding innovative ideas and start-ups by launching various Prime Minister Programs, by conducting Smart India Hackathon and many other ways. We have all the platforms and technology that we need so now it is our turn to utilise them efficiently and make India our dream nation.

Safety and Security is right of every individual. But there are some evils that prevail in our society. These days the crime records including gang rapes, murders and domestic violence are rising to its peaks. It is a blessing that we live in good surroundings and do not encounter these. But these evils are making their roots strong day by day and need to be removed from our society to ensure a safe and bright future. Government has started numerous services for helping women. But the programs are left unknown and thus unused. It’s our duty to collect the updates and information and also spread the same.

Educated citizens lead to a civilised country. It’s a harsh reality that even after 74 years of independence, Education is still a Luxury for many. Child labour and poverty has kept many intelligent minds away from availing a quality education. Government has taken attractive initiatives like providing mid-day meals to attract students . The only issue is the lack of awareness. Even if every youth helps one poor student to get admission in a government school, the country would have a different face after 10 year.

One of the things that is hindering our progress is Corruption. From grassroot level to the highest level, every tier of every government organisation is polluted with this corruption. We need to change the system. And it starts with us. Youth needs to enter the system and make remarkable changes right now else it is quite sure that we will be witnessing the worst face of the country ever. It always starts with you. Being a resourceful youth, I always ensure that I don’t indulge myself in any activity that would encourage corruption. Also I would also raise my voice against the one whom I find doing wrong.

“ Everybody’s collective efforts will help in Everybody’s growth.”

Thus, as a youth it’s our sole responsibility that we need to work together and support each other to have a developed and civilised India. Working hand in hand with the government we can make the country a safe and a secure place to live. We need to be the change that we want in society. United we will make it possible.

Jai Hind.
